How it started

It was Christmas and as a present I received a book called Angels in My Hair by Lorna Byrne, also another book called Living the Magic by Eileen McCourt.

These books ignited something in me. I felt a deep connection to what I was reading, it felt as if the blinkers had suddenly been removed. It was as if Pandora’s Box opened and now the real work was about to begin, shedding what was not serving me! Crack opening my heart to allow Spirit in! experiencing grace, the start of my journey of self-healing !

I grew up in a family with drinking, violence, anger and judgement, so I never felt safe at home, outside my home I felt judged by others, including at school and the society I grew up in .

My saving grace was my grandmother 'mini’ who I totally loved ! admired and respected. She was my safety net, Boy I needed it! She was my balance and light in my very negative surroundings.

During my childhood, I survived by learning to never look back and instead focus on the future, with the motto, that a new day brought with it a better day. This helped me to open my own business in 1996, get happily married and have three beautiful kids who I am so proud of.

But since I didn’t heal these deep traumas from my past, in the end I got burnt out –emotionally, mentally and psychically.
